Japan’s climate features high summer rainfall and no real dry season. Yamabushi Valley is located in the rainiest part of Honshu Island, where annual precipitation exceeds 80 inches. Here, three travelers are caught in a wild rainstorm. One man in a cloth cloak has lost his straw hat to the wind, while two others hunch down into their straw rain capes.
