Title Hanging Kimono - Tosei Furyu Tsu Artist Shuntei Miyagawa 1873-1914 - click for artist Signature Shuntei gyoshi Seal artist's seal Dated 1897 Publisher Fukuda Hatsujiro Impression excellent … (first edition printing) Colors excellent - very good … shiny shomen-zuri, silver colored metallic pigment, intricate "bokashi" on the left cartouche Condition very good … light toning, not backed (original state), full-margined, margins lightly creased. (left sheet) a diagonal crease from bottom to mid right edge. (right s.) slight mat burn visible on the sky Description "Tosei Furyu Tsu" (Today's Elegant Manners and Customs). Ladies are enjoying a cherry blossom picnic with lunch boxes. Beautiful kimono are draped on a rope as a room divider. The hanging airs the kimono, also.
