Mt. Fuji in Moonlight, Kawaibashi, 1947 Kawase Hasui (1883 ? 1957) Mt. Fuji in Moonlight, Kawaibashi This incredible image of Fuji in the moonlight behind the Kawai bridge is a Hasui masterwork. The rich blue tones of nighttime are a classic Hasui depiction. The beautiful old bridge leads to the lit houses over the river. Signed- Kawase Hasui with red artist’s seal “sui” Sealed- Publisher Watanabe, 7mm seal, later edition original, from original blocks Image size- 9 ?” x 14 3/8” (oban tate-e) Condition- Excellent, no toning, tears, not mounted, full margins
