The courtesan Suminoto of the house called Okana-ya. She is seated before a dressing stand while her hair is being combed by another woman who stand behand her and her kamuro (girl attendant) is seated by her side.; Large runs due to latest designs of kimono and hair style. Not in Buckingham Collection (AIC) but inv ol.1, p.253 dates series to late 1770s. Those with Juzaburo seal read "Koshodo" Eijudo ??? this popular series with Kiyonaga and Shunzan. Total no.by Koryusai unknown, but 81 in MFA, Boston 33 designs in "Ukiyo-e geijutsu I", col. 1, 1932; related print, #35
