Kisokaido Series: # 17 Matsuida Artist: Kuniyoshi Format: Oban tate-e: 14.25" x 10" Subject: Matsui Minjiro watching two snakes in a river; Yama-uba seated on a rock behind, with a monkey. Inset: trees, paddy-fields and distant mountain. Publisher: Tsujioka-ya Bunsuke Date: 1853 Condition: Fine colors. Full size with margin on one side. Laid down on Japanese paper. Very minor marks, rubbing, creases and flaws. A small hole centre top edge. Generally good state of preservation. Impression: Fine impression.
