Rain at Yabakei by Hashiguchi Goyo. Genuine woodblock print dated 1918 (Taisho 7). Later mid Showa era impression. Signed Goyo ga in lower left of image above Red Goyo seal. Publisher's, carver's and printer's seal in right margin. 14.2 x 19.7 inches. Compare with print on page 65 of "Shin-Hanga New prints in Modern Japan" by Brown. Very fine craftsmanship. Nice mica rain streaks. Strong texture and ink bleedthrough.
