Colour woodblock print, oban yoko-e. Kabuki actors as cats performing the Okazaki scene in the play 'Onoe Kikugoro ichidai banashi' (尾上梅寿一代噺) performed at the Ichimura theater in the seventh month of Koka 4 (1847), with Ichimura Uzaemon XII (left) as Inaba no Suke, Onoe Kikugoro III as the ghost of the Old Cat, and Sawamura Sojuro V as Tamashima Itto.
