"Yui" from the series "53 Stations of the Tokaido". Station #17, Yui. On top of the steep hill, the travellers can marvel one of the greatest view of Mt.Fuji along the Tokaido. It was an ancient highway system of 496 kilometers connecting Edo and Kyoto, the two important commercial and cultural centers. The series "53 Stations of the Tokaido" made Hiroshige famous and many follow-up series followed.
