The Mirror of Famous Generals was comprised of 58 images in total capturing the warriors from legend and literature spanning the entire breadth of Japanese history. This series was extremely popular and enjoyed unprecedented sales. Here Yamato Takeru no Mikoto, son of Emperor Keiko, leads a successfil campaign against the native tribes in the early history of Japan.
