This print is of Nakamura Kichiemon in the role of Kiyomasa from the series, Figures of the Show Stage, published by Banchoro in 1949. Ota Masamitsu is best known for his realistic portraits of the Kabuki actors capturing their individual personalities. His prints are striking and rare. There is mica in the background which starts as light gray and fades to white at the top.
