32 Aspects of the Manners of Women: # 4 Looking Warm Artist: Yoshitoshi Format: Oban tate-e: 14.25" x 9.75" Subject: An urban widow of the Kansei era (1789-1801). Woman reading a book, her Cat sleeping in front of her on a kotatsu (a low table also serving as a brazier). Publisher: Tsunashima Kamekichi Date: 2/3/1888 Condition: Fine colors. Slightly trimmed in margins. Album backing paper. Soils and light foxing. Minor offsetting, marks and flaws. Fairly good state of preservation. Impression: Very good impression with gauffrage and three color cartouche.
