The Sudden Shower Artist: Shunsen Format: Oban yoko-e: 9.75" x 15" Subject: A group of beauties taking shelter from a sudden shower of summer rain under a ancient pine tree. An unidentified collector's seal on verso. Publisher: Sanoya Kihei Date: c. 1810 Condition: Very fine fresh colors. Full size. Strong vertical centrefold. Minor rubbing and soils. Attached with two tapes to a card. Generally good state of preservation. Impression: Fine impression with the rain delicately represented by fine blind printing.
