This Japanese woodcut print is by Shoson Koson and published by Watanabe. It depicts 3 seagulls on a rock on the beach. There are magnificent waves crashing in the background. It is a full sheet with full margins, approx. 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches. I believe that this is a very early state, perhaps the first state for this print, but I am not positive. The print is in good condition with wonderful color. This print (along with 9 others that I am offering) came out of a wonderful estate full of beautiful Japanese objects. The original owners had lived in Japan from the 1930's.
