Tale of Genji Series: Chapter XXX Artist: Kunisada Format: Chuban tate-e: 10" x 7" Subject: A bijin wearing a black kimono stands with a partly open makemono beside a lacquer box containing other hand-scrolls. Publisher: Hamadaya Tokubei Date: c. 1852 Condition: Fine colors. Minor wear, soiling and tiny edge damages. Generally moderately good state of preservation. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage and lacquer. The background blind printed in a checkered pattern (not visible in the scanned image)
