Kuchi-e: Young Bijin Artist: Keishu Format: Aiban yoko-e: 8.75" x 11.5" Subject: A scene of water-reeds by a lake, inset in a circular cartouch a young bijin looking at her reflections in a mirror as she washes herself. Date: c. 1900 Condition: Fine colors. Full size. Album backing paper. Two vertical foldmarks. Slightly toned. Minor soils, marks and flaws. Generally good state. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage and burnishing.
