Tuesday, 29 September 2009 Original Signed 1956 Japanese Woodblock Shuzo Ikeda Famous Listed Artist This fascinating woodblock point was by a very famous Japanese master print maker and artist, name Shuzo Ikeda. It is a 1956 monotype, signed with crayon, and was originally entitled #51. It is a wonderful Expressionist study of a cat like young girl...truly fascinating. This woodblock is in the original condition as it was acquired, being laid down, matted and framed. It appears to be in very good condition...and a fine, collectible art woodblock print. This piece is housed within a contemporary black wood frame, measuring 18 1/4" x 24 3/4".
