Saturday, 15 July 2006 DETAILS: This eBay auction lot is an unframed vintage Japanese watercolor painting signed S. or R. HIDESAKI in the lower right corner (see photo). We searched this artist in our reference sources. We found auction results for an R. Hidesaki on www,artfact.com. If CONDITION: This unframed watercolor is in very good original condition and is free from foxing, stains, damage or restoration. The paper shows signs of typical minor mellowing. The paper has been mounted to a heavy paper backing board and glued down to a matte board. The matte board shows signs of staining and foxing but these issues do not appear on the paper. This watercolor will display in excellent condition when properly matted and framed. MEASUREMENTS: The overall matted size measures approximately 20 1/2" X 17". The sight-size of the image measures approximately 16 3/8" X 13".
