Tuesday, 17 July 2007 Masaharu Aoyama Japanese woodblock Black Cat You are bidding on Japanese woodblock print by Aoyama Masaharu of a black cat. The print measures overall 17 1/4 x 12 inches. There is a bit of roughness on the top margin and overall toning in the window mat area. The print has some darker toning blotches as can be seen in the images. The print is not laid down. There are two tears on the left side: one a horizontal edge tear that has been repaired and runs to the mat line with some kind of repair paper and another 2" tear which runs vertically along the mat line and is intersected by the first tear. This print could use some conservation but could also be framed as is.
