Colour woodblock print, oban. The third sheet from a polyptych from an album of 117 sheets. The kabuki actor Iwai Hanshiro V as Naginoha Gozen in an unstaged scene (‘mitate’) depicting the Soga brothers’ confrontation, (‘Soga no taimen’).
