Colour woodblock print, oban. The kabuki actor Onoe Matsusuke I as the ghost of Kohada Koheiji, and the same actor as his wife, lying asleep with her head on a pillow within a mosquito net, in the play ‘Iroiri otogi zoshi’ (also called ‘Eiri otogi zoshi’) by Katsu Hyozo I (Tsuruya Nanboku IV); performed at the Ichimura-za in the 6th month of 1808.
