"Les Aristoloches Geants Tondano, Celebes". The Giant Aristoloches. Although the edition was allocated for 350, actually less than 100 impressions were made. One of the rare Jacoulet prints after W.W.II. The strange looking pod and flower of Giant Aristolochia have aromatic scent to attract insects. The inner part of the pod is slipery acting as a fly-trap. The plant also contains acid which is nephrotoxic to humans.
