Japanese hero, Watonai, is wrestling with a tiger in the kabuki play, "Kokusenya Kassen". Kotondo was renowned for his elegant beauties in Shin-hanga movement, although he was the headmaster of the long estublished Torii school of ukiyo-e. This is one of his lesser known but equally superve kabuki subjects.
