Danshichi Kurobei (Middle: Played by Ichikawa Danjuro) is killing his mean father-in-law, Giheiji (Right: Played by Ichikawa Sadanji). Kurobei's friend, Issun Tokubei, is depicted in the left inset. The large festival floats are passing by joyously outside of the fence. A scene from the popular kabuki play in the summer, "Natsu Matsuri Naniwa Kagami".
